Perfume advert - image writeup
Image 1 - I really like this image as it has a vintage feel to it, and that could make my brand seem like it is as though a tradition and it is a classic perfume. I also like the fact that it is outside and I like the close up look of the model.
Image 2 - Again I like the vintage effect and the fact that it is outside so it has a summery feel to it and it fits in with the type of perfume I am advertising. I also like the futher away look; the full body image also looks very nice, and I like that I could just fit the perfume bottle in on the side possibly in normal colour so that it stands out.
Image 3 - This is again another full body image which I could again fit in the perfume nicely. I very like the colouring of the picture, it really spells out summer and I really like the field of flowers and the trees in the background.
Image 4 - I like this image also because it outlines the grass and flowers nicely also the trees in background look nice. The close up on the model is nice and looks good.
Image 5 - I really like this image for my perfume advert. I like the way the model is looking away from the camera as though she is longing for the perfume, I also like the angle of the image. I like the fact that you could only see the model and the field of flowers. I think that this would be a great image for my perfume advert, as it really fits with what my perfume is about, with the flowers in the field and the colouring of the image is lovely. I also could fit my perfume in nicely in the corner.

Cap Codes
When looking at all of the CAP codes, I think that my perfume advertisement I created does fit them. The language in which I have used is appropriate and does not in any way come across as offensive when reading it. My main image on my advertisement is suitable for the target audience that is set for my perfume also it’s just my friend sitting in a field. The Friend is appropriately dressed to the type of magazine I have created, there is no nudity, therefore it would suit my target audience and also my magazine is not of that type.
I think that my perfume advertisement is not misleading as I have described and advertised only my perfume and not gone into too much detail, I have made no false promises, and have only used the company name and the name of the perfume itself.

Evaluation of my perfume advert.
How does your finished product compare to your design?
My design and my finished product aren't very alike, as in my design it is a close up of the model, whereas my design is of someone sitting on the grass in a field of flowers, but the product is still in the corner of the page and the title is still in the same place. I changed the picture to a further view as I thought it would be more effective if the model was further and as though she is longing for the perfume, and so that the perfume would be more the focus other then the model.
How has technology ( computer, digital camera and computer software) helped you turn your design into a real product?
Photoshop on the macs at school really helped me piece my magazine front cover together nicely, and to manipulate the picture to how I wanted it to look, for example, enlarging the image to fit nicely on the page, or adding text onto my front cover, and onto the perfume image I got from the internet, for the brand name and name of the perfume. When we were able to use the camera's at school, that really helped me with learning about different angles and lighting, and how that can really effect the picture, and give you a better effect.
Do you feel your product is suitable for your target audience?
Yes, I do believe my product is suitable for ages of 14+ as the product is elegant yet not too sophisticated for teenagers, I believe that teenagers and older will want to buy this perfume as most 14 year olds, are starting to want to were more perfumes and more older and sophisticated perfumes, therefore they will want to use perfumes that their mother may buy, or that have a sense of maturity to them, so 14+ would be a good target audience for my product.
Describe two challenges you have overcome?
Two challenges I have overcome whilst creating my perfume were:
The first being the manipulation of the perfume bottle, whilst trying to add in the text of my brand name for the perfume and the text of the name of the perfume, this was hard to do I had to try and go over the writing that was already there, by trying to match the exact colour of the bottle of the placement of the text and to try and add it in so that it looked as though it was meant to be there, and was printed/ put in the actual bottle in the first place which I found challenging.
The second was the layering, trying to add new layers whilst trying to keep the other layers shown, and overlapping the layers and cutting the perfumes background out so you just had the bottle, as you had to keep a steady hand whilst cutting the background off, or you might ruin it and have to start again, by cutting into the perfume that you wanted to keep.
Describe the technical skills you have gained?
I have learned how to manipulate an image on photoshop, and about the layering on photoshop also. I have learned how to create an advert, and what makes a good advert and what makes a bad advert, like overcrowding can result in a bad advert, and simplicity can make the advert more elegant and sophisticated.

I have permission to use the picture used in my perfume advert, the picture is of my friend, and she gave me permission to use the picture for my perfume advert. I had a choice between 3 different pictures but I chose the one I used because It seemed more fitting to the type of perfume I created, as the perfume bottle had roses upon it, and the picture was of my friend sitting on a field of flowers. I also used a picture of a perfume but I edited over the bottle my own added title and brand name.
